Free Chinese Astrology Chart/Four Pillars Calculator

For those of you who only know your year animal in Chinese Astrology, I now have a free four pillars calculator on my website so you can become familiar with your full birth chart - Chinese Astrology Chart - Four Pillars Calculator
 

In Chinese Astrology, also called the Four Pillars of Destiny, you have an hour pillar, day pillar, month pillar and year pillar.  Each pillar has two symbols - a heavenly stem and an earthly branch.  The heavenly stem is a yin or yang element, and the earthly branch is one of the twelve chinese animals of the zodiac.  Although the calculator does not give you a reading or analysis of your birth chart, if you cross-reference your chart with my yearly astrology predictions from my Feng Shui Newsletter, you will have some idea what each year may indicate for you.  I also conduct individual readings based on your Western Astrology and Chinese Astrology charts if you would like a thorough analysis of your life path.  Visit my Astrology page for more information.

Mercury Retrograde - Patience is the Key

When the planet Mercury goes retrograde (comes closer to the earth) it can cause hiccups with all forms of communication, including planes, trains and automobiles.

• Emails, texts, phone messages, letters and contracts can disappear, leaving you wondering what is going on, and why people have not got back to you. Anything mailed can also go astray.
  
• Computers can slow down at this time due to system errors, or crash.
  
• You may experience problems with your internet or phone connection.
  
• Plane, train, bus, and tram schedules can go out the window .. so expect delays.
  
• Your car may start running a bit rough during Mercury Retrograde. In peak hour, there may be an increase in car breakdowns and traffic light malfunctions causing lengthy delays.

My Advice

• Back up your computer a.s.a.p !
  
• Finalise all contracts, projects and forms of communication before Mercury goes Retrograde.
  
• It is not a good time to begin new projects.Wait till after Mercury goes Direct. If you begin a project while Mercury is in Retrograde expect the project to be frustratingly slow and problematic.
  
• If you are in the middle of negotiations, allow for delays, and misunderstandings. Keep a copy of everything which is sent, in case it has to be sent again. Don't schedule tight deadlines ... factor in delays!
  
• Before going on holidays or business travel, double check all documents and schedules before you leave. Allow plenty of time to get to the airport. Allow plenty of time to transfer between flights.
  
• Most important .... relax and go with the flow. Now you know this two week period can be frustrating, you can prepare yourself for the influence this planet has on our daily lives.

Feng Shui Newsletter January 2012

Happy 2012!  

I am so excited to be a spectator for the amazing year ahead!  You see, my Mum was very interested in all things alternative, so I grew up watching Erich Von Daniken's theories, the end of the Mayan Calendar, and of course the possible solar flare or comet doomsday scientific possibilities.  

Officially, the Year of the Water Dragon begins on February 4th, 2012. The Solar New Year is based on the Hsia calendar or Solar Calendar beginning February 4, and the Chinese New Year celebrations are based on the Lunar Calendar which falls on January 23, 2012. The Chinese acknowledge the yin and yang energies of each year; the yang (solar, masculine) new year, and celebrate the yin (lunar, feminine) new year.
