Four of feng shui's core principles correspond to numbers in the Fibonacci sequence. Taiji or centre = 1; yin and yang = 2; the cosmic trinity = 3; the five phases (fire, earth, metal, water & wood) = 5; the eight triagrams (eight directions) = 8.
Fibonacci numbers can be found in nature and our bodies, and have influenced art, architecture and music.
Each number in the series is the sum of the two previous numbers. For example 3+5=8, 5+8=13, and so on to infinity.

The first time I heard about the Fibonacci sequence was 7 years ago. I did a wonderful workshop with Lesley Crossingham where we learnt how to draw spirit guides with pastels. I found out the features of our face fit the proportions of the Fibonacci sequence. Once we got those proportions right for our spirit portraits, they came alive!
