On a cold winter's night in Melbourne, with the usual rubbish on TV, I decided to watch a movie (you can tell I don't have Foxtel). '2012 - Science or Superstition' turned out to be a very interesting documentary on the significance of the end of the Mayan Calendar December 21, 2012.Opinions were gathered from scientists, anthropologists and archaeologists. It explained the more scientific 'natural disaster' possibilities such as solar flares and the pole shift, and also gave great insight into the 'renewal or rebirth of consciousness' theories from historians and anthropologists who have not only studied the Mayan culture, but also have found a similar theme in Egyptian, and American Indian legends. Worth watching!
